We work to help farmers gain a fair share of their hard work, promoting sustainable farming practices and preventing harmful methods like land burning that cause air pollution and haze.
I’ll never forget the day I visited a coconut farm and saw a family – a husband, wife, and their little girl, who couldn’t have been more than 5 years old – working together. Seeing that little girl holding a parang and helping to open coconuts with her parents was both touching and shocking. It made me think about how different their lives are from my own kids’. That moment really hit me and made me realize how important it is to support fair trade. We need to make sure these hardworking families get the fair compensation they deserve.
