Engage your senses as you discover the various parts of the coconut. Learn how to differentiate between young and mature coconuts, and get an up-close look at how we recycle coconut husks into useful products.
03. Have Fun & Be Proud!
Join in our fun games and enjoy our famous coconut ice cream and fresh coconut water. Afterward, swap your husk for a recycled one, decorate it, and plant something special to take home. Share your experience as an environmentalist and agriculturalist with your loved ones!
I like giraffes, and today I learnt that if I want to protect them, I can start to practice rethink and reduce. Recycling is always the last resort and I hope to tell my parents to use less plastic disposables and eat less meat. It’s my first time trying vegan ice cream too. It tastes different from (dairy) ice cream, but I will want to try it again next time.
It was really refreshing to discuss about topics that we seldem think about, like what goes on after we throw away our trash, and the difficult topic of wanting to live sustainbly but giving up certain conveniences and changing our lifestyle to one that is kinder to nature and our planet. Our group of teachers really like the craft session with the coconut shells. Using the entire coconut in all forms, including the by-product of the coconut shell is interesting. I hope to try using more natural materials in my classroom for art as well.
